>About the Plough:

the Plough & the Stars

The Plough & the Stars is located in Old City Philadelphia on 2nd Street, close to the corner of 2nd & Chestnut St. Our restaurant and pub is located in a restored historically preserved Corn Exchange Building, dating back to the early part of the 20th Century. The 24ft ornate ceilings, molded Corinthian columns and dramatic 16ft windows add to the ambience.

The Plough & the Stars is located right in the middle of the action and is a perfect base for your exploration of Old City Philly and the Historic District. It is a block or two from the New Irish Famine Memorial, Penn’s Landing, The Delaware River, the Old City Art Galleries, the Arden Theatre, the Ritz movie theatres as well as the New Constitution Centre and Independence Hall!

We hope you can join us.

Live Traditional Irish Music

If you play an instrument, please come along on any Sunday and join in. If you would like us to provide musicians for your event in the Plough or elsewhere, please give us a call. With a little notice, we can org-anize uilleann pipers, fiddlers, flute and accor-dion players etc to bring a real Irish atmosphere to your event.

Brunch @ the Plough

The Plough is one of the most popular locations for Brunch. Come and enjoy our NEW Raised Waffle station every Saturday
and Sunday (9.30am to 3.30pm). Remember our Traditional Irish Music session which runs during Brunch on Sundays from
4-8pm. Check out our Brunch menu. Click here.
