Welcome to The Plough, We Are So Glad You Are Here.

When you come to The Plough & The Stars, you can expect a warm and friendly welcome. The Plough is located in the Old City District of Philadelphia, just a stone’s throw from the birthplace of America, Independence Hall.

It’s the perfect place for a quiet pint, a tasty meal, your favorite sporting event, a lively music session, or just to rest your feet for a while. The Plough is an authentic Irish pub renowned for its friendly staff and patrons, its great atmosphere, and highly celebrated food.

Whether you want to enjoy the great pub atmosphere or find a quiet corner for yourself, The Plough has it all.

We are opening at 11:00am on the 4th of July!
There is also free parking in the city all day.

Saturday – Sunday: 11:30am – 2:00am

Monday & Tuesday: Dinner until 10:00pm
Wednesday – Sunday: Dinner until 9:00pm
Late Night Bar Food Available Wednesday – Sunday from 9:00pm – 12:00am

Brunch Saturday & Sunday: 11:30am – 3:00pm

We are now open 7 days a week for Outdoor Dining on our Patio, Indoor Dining at 100% Capacity, curbside pick up & delivery.

At the Plough & the Stars, our food is described as Western European with a strong Irish influence, and we are determined to bring the authentic taste of Ireland to Philadelphia. Our dishes, sauces, and breads are prepared with care in-house from scratch using as many seasonal ingredients from as many local, responsible farms as possible. Our fryer is not gluten-free; please let your server know about your allergies or dietary restrictions before ordering.

We are the home of the 2nd Street Plough Bhoys Celtic Supporter's Club bringing in every Celtic Football Club match exclusively live on our big screen. The Plough is also your home to watch all of your favorite Philadelphia and other American and International sporting events.

We've been part of the Old City District landscape since 1997 and continue to be the favorite "watering hole" for both locals and visitors alike. We are famous for the warmth of our welcome and the sense of fun and conviviality that's such a part of our makeup.
